Blog Post 6

I have very few experiences with Diigo, but it has overall been a pretty pleasant and smooth experience. Thought it took some time to add the extension to my computer, being able to bookmark and share my posts through Diigo has been really easy to navigate and use whenever I needed it. It does however seem like one of the weirder softwares I have used. I am curious to see the context in which we would use Diigo in a regular classroom because I do believe it is a productive program, just want to see where else it may apply to.

I have really enjoyed blogging so far. It has helped to reflect on the different tasks I have completed in this class and really realize the value behind the work I am doing. I do not particularly have something I do not enjoy about blogging, I have found it to be fairly easy to accomplish and has helped to document the things I have done so far. Through blogging, I have learned how far I really have come in this class. Though I did have some experience with technology before this class, I have learned about many different terms and versions of software that I never really had heard of before and I met great people while doing it all.

When I am teaching, I could see myself using YouTube as a prime tool to help the kids learn. I could make lecture videos and extra videos in order to help them learn things they may not have previously understood in class. I have had teachers who would produce YouTube videos for us to use or post review videos before tests that they gave us access to, and it would help me a great deal. I think this would be a great tool to use teaching and to provide my students with throughout the school year in order to make sure they had as much help as they could get while also utilizing the role of technology in the classroom. YouTube is a program that can provide students to lots of visual content, especially to different educational videos and accounts.
