     During my earlier experiences with twitter, I have interacted with different schools near where I am from and with @lrnchat where I participated in a chat and answered a question. I have also liked many of NASA Kennedy Space Center's posts and joined calls through twitter. I wanted to be an astronaut for the longest time when I was a kid and I love keeping up to date with what they are doing and the videos they post to educate others on what is going on.       Florida's standards for ELA have many different divisions. The one I picked was ELA.8.C.5.2, using a variety of digital tools to collaborate with others to produce writing. Throughout different grades, students are expected to be able to use technology to collaborate with each other and create projects. In 8th grade, students are expected to do this for writing, using digital tools such as google docs, discussion boards through Canvas, or through other discussion-based programs such as Nearpod, Jam Board, etc. I feel that in my classroom I would be able to implement these standards and assist students engage with these programs and collaborate with each other on writing assignments and essays.       When utilizing different websites and program on the internet, it is important that copyright and fair use rules are followed. Copyright is the creators ownership over the program or image that they designed and/or published for public viewing and use. Fair use policies are placed in order to provide the public with access to the creators product while still protecting their credits to the creation. Often times, students and teachers alike will forget to abide by copyright rules placed by the publishers of this content and are not aware of the harm they are doing. As a teacher, I would make sure to cover these concepts in class and make students aware of the importance of abiding by the rules in place, giving the creators credit for their work.      Over the years, I have use multiple different platforms to accomplish my writing tasks and to take notes for class online.  I have been using Microsoft Word as my main platform to write for school and for fun since around sixth grade. I would write essays in class through word and actually became certified in MS Word in eighth grade. I have used platforms such as Google Docs to write other papers and for different purposes, but I find that Word is easier to navigate and provides me with more options. I can be more creative on Word and can use it for other tasks such as posters and newsletters for class which is harder to accomplish on Google Docs.   The ISTE is a nonprofit organization that works to encourage and incorporate innovation and technology into everyday education and works to engage more kids in the use of smart technology.        My name is Elise, and I am a freshman here at Florida State University. I hope to major in Communication Sciences and Disorders and plan to minor in Education as well as Child Development.  I am the older sister to two awesome younger brothers who I would not trade for the world.  They both never fail to make me smile and have both helped me become a more responsible person and discover my love for kids.  Though I am a busy person, working as a coach and a nanny, my spare time is spent watching movies, reading books, and hanging out with my friends.
